Facebook Messenger

Connect one Facebook Page to CRMAI through Connections, so every incoming message can be managed directly from CRMAI.

Never copy access tokens, App Secrets, or customer data into screenshots, documentation, or support tickets.

Before you start

  • You have access to the CRMAI workspace and the connections:create permission.

  • You're an admin or manager on the Facebook Page you want to connect.

  • The Meta account you'll use for OAuth manages only one selectable Page — this release doesn't support picking from multiple Pages yet.

  • Your browser allows redirects/popups from Meta.

Connecting Facebook Messenger

1. Open Connections, then click Add Channel.

2. Enter a connection name and pick the division that'll handle these conversations.

3. Select the Facebook Messenger channel, confirm the provider is Facebook Messenger Meta.

4. Click Connect Facebook Messenger, then log in and authorize on Meta's page.

5. Select the one Facebook Page you want to use, then finish granting access on Meta's side.

6. Once you're redirected back to CRMAI, check the success notification and the connection card.

Settings after connecting

Once OAuth succeeds, you can still adjust:

  • Connection name and division

  • Default Connection (if Facebook Messenger should be prioritized)

  • Greeting, farewell, and away message

Click Save after any change, and wait for the success notification before leaving the page.

Troubleshooting

Issue

Fix

Multiple Pages detected

Use a Meta account with only one eligible Page.

OAuth fails / no redirect

Confirm the Meta account and Page are accessible, then retry from the Connect button. Don't click repeatedly.

Connection not showing after redirect

Refresh the state on the connection card instead of creating a new one.

No Add/Save/Delete button

Ask an admin to check the connections:create/edit/delete permissions.
